- Passion: Your passion for working for your community is known to all your loved ones. The 4 weeks of GCSJ will be a blend of brainstorming sessions, field work and social impact. You will finally get to build the project you have been thinking of to solve a critical social problem be it education inequity, digital inclusion, animal welfare and more. You can make a difference and enhance your profile for college applications by practically executing your ideas.
- Love New ideas: You love testing new ideas and collaborations. Roadblocks and setbacks don’t hold you back. Global Challenges and Social Justice is a melting pot of ideas and people who bring their unique lives and experiences to the program. Some will be working on raising awareness and supporting girls with a vulnerable past or queer rights and some on mental health issues faced by Gen Z.
- Spontaneity is your DNA. Running a social impact program is about a ‘New day, every day! Things don’t always go as planned. You will be adapting on the go, teaching kids living in remote areas, learning to communicate with people who don’t speak your language, and innovating every step.
- You are an eternal learner. Global Challenges and Social Justice will be an intensive, structured program that will enable Two-way learning and help you understand social impact space. You will be working on a live project on a theme that stirs your soul. You will learn about how to pitch your ideas, tweak them, collaborate and work with teams, patiently rework
- Challenges don’t scare you. Working on social problems is a continuum. You will have to work around obstacles and don your problem-solving hat with your team. GCSJ mentors will be your guiding light through the process.
Global Challenges and Social Justice is a unique program that offers you an opportunity to learn and actively work on a Live social impact project with your team. It is systematically designed to help Highschool students like you to experience working in the social development sector.
