Q:Why do you think education is important?
P: Nowadays it is necessary to get a good job to earn money so that one can sustain life, hence I think education is important to achieve that.
Q:Which is your favorite subject to study? And why do you like it?
P: My favorite subject is English because I like the way English sounds when spoken, but I am not that fluent in English. Hence, I am attending English classes twice a week to improve it.
Q:How did your school cope with COVID-19 pandemic – did you have online classes?Do you prefer offline over online classes? And what is the most difficult part when it comes to online classes?
P: Yes, we have online classes. It is difficult to understand topics when taught online. For me, understanding Science has become more difficult, as I found it hard to understand even during my offline classes. I will always prefer offline classes, as during online classes there are network issues.
Q:How long have you been attending the online classes conducted by TribesforGOOD, have they helped you in any way?
P: I have been attending the online classes for the past 3-4 months. These sessions have helped me understand certain topics in Science, such as ‘Atoms & Molecules’ that we are currently studying, which I would have found hard to understand otherwise.
Q:Who was your favorite Bhaiyya or Didi from TribesforGOOD?
P:My favorite Didi was Prisha. I liked the way she used to teach Maths to us and would also conduct dance sessions.
Q:What are your future aspirations?
P: I want to become an Air hostess!
It is not just Priya, there are several young minds from underprivileged households that benefit from our virtual Bhaiyya-Didi Network. The initiative brings together students from diverse socio-economic backgrounds and supports the one one in need. When peers become mentors, learning becomes more fun and easy!
