TribesforGOOD walks: Conscious Living, Fashion & Sustainability!
In Mumbai for a day and looking for responsible tourism options. Check out our Sustainability Walk in Colaba, Breaking Social Barriers via Art Day visit and others.
Mumbai, India’s most populous city, is the entry point for many travellers but is often overlooked. The city is known as a city of contrasts with massive slums yet skyscraper homes worth millions.
Mumbai can be daunting yet there is a side to it like no other. Between the hustle and bustle of city life lies a booming social enterprise and sustainability scene that is driven by local social innovators.
The Sustainability Walk introduces travellers to the enterprises run by these social innovators, that are making an impact not only on the environment but on the people too.
Together, we’ll explore Colaba, a gentrified area perfect for exploring on foot. Although a new and trendy area, it still maintains its authenticity of its previous life as a port.
As we walk through the area, we’ll discuss the social impact initiatives across Mumbai with a focus on women, the environment, public spaces and giving back.
We’ll visit some of these home-grown initiatives such as modern galleries, designer stores and restoration projects creating inclusive public spaces in the city.
We’ll even help you buy a sustainable piece of fashion!
We hope to show you the charm of Mumbai that so many people miss out on!

The Breaking Social Barrier via Art journey is for those with a keen interest in the social impact space, entrepreneurship or India as a society.
We’ll dive head first into a unique full day experience, whilst culturally immersing ourselves in true Mumbai style.
If you are looking to learn, travel and giveback – this journey is for you!

They will share their innovative solutions to pressing social, environmental and cultural challenges.
Women are stunted by a patriarchal society that predominantly views them as burdens, mothers, daughters and wives and thus, allows them to suffer through a series of discrimmination, injustice and financial dependence on men.
For women in low-come communities, it is near impossible to break the cycle of poverty.
Throughout this journey, you’ll be able to:

Experience the role of women startups and social enterprises in India.
-
Travel like a true local
-
Visit an all woman community center
-

-
