Young Advocates – Kids Who Are Changing the World
About the Program
The Young Advocates program is a short, one-week virtual summer program for students from grades 5-8, which helps cultivate empathy, problem solving and listening skills. Today’s parents are on a constant quest to broaden the horizons for the kids to grow and learn. So why not social impact? Raising children to be kind, empathetic, and contributing members of society needs to start at a very young age. The earlier you get them involved in activities that will positively impact society, the more kindness and empathy are ingrained into their makeup. Community services can teach kids a sense of civic responsibility, tolerance, empathy, and self-efficacy, and make a difference to the child’s perspective towards life.
Why TribesforGOOD’s Young Advocates program?
Skill development: Although we cannot predict the future, it is important to prepare children for it. Through the program, we cultivate problem-solving abilities, an ability to make independent judgements, and active listening capabilities.
Diversity & Inclusion: Often, children learn considerably more quickly from peers than from teachers or parents. Through the program, your child will be a part of a cohort and interact with students from many cultures and backgrounds. Kids will be introduced to the perspectives and way of life of people living in various socio-economic conditions and regions of the country.
Screen the screen time: Under the supervision of an experienced and watchful mentor, your child will utilise their screen time productively to communicate with peers, share their views and thoughts, and understand the world holistically.
What the student will do:
- Learn about and take super steps on important social issues like STEM subjects, Gender, Climate Change, and Animal Welfare.
